Partner with us to engage and support our students
Calling employers in New York!
January 13-17, 2025
We are currently looking for employers to fill a few remaining slots for our NYC CONNECT program, which will take place in Manhattan, New York this year from January 13–17, 2025!
Registration for Boston and D.C. treks coming soon! Treks will take place March 10-11, 2025
Welcome to the Binghamton University CONNECT program, a unique initiative that immerses students in the working worlds of different cities across the country. The CONNECT program offers your organization the opportunity to connect with our talented students during school breaks. We will bring our students directly to you!
CONNECT consists of two parts:
- Employer Treks: Organizations volunteer to host Employer Treks for students in their local office locations in each destination city.
- Networking Night (Alumni only): The local branches of the Alumni Association organize a Networking Night in each city to introduce students to local alumni. Students who participate in this program are able to explore where their Binghamton degree can take them and receive valuable insight that will help prepare them for the workforce. The event is also an opportunity to meet fellow alumni and expand your network in your city.
CONNECTing your organization with our brightest minds
The CONNECT program is competitive and selective. Students who have an interest in living and working in the destination city will apply for the program, and career center staff filter through applications to select strong candidates. Staff curate a pool of students who are driven, prepared, accomplished, diverse, and serious about the program. They will come to your office prepared with questions and to engage in a meaningful conversation about your organization.

Frequently asked questions
- My organization is not actively recruiting or hiring. Can we still host an Employer
Trek?
CONNECT is not just for recruiting. While many organizations choose to speak about job and internship opportunities, the true purpose of CONNECT is to provide a professional development opportunity for our students. Even if your organization is not actively recruiting, our students will find immense value in being able to learn more about your organization and industry, receive advice from professionals, and discover the career paths that led professionals to your organization.
-
My organization is only interested in recruiting students from certain class years
and majors. Can we select who comes to our Employer Trek?
For New York City CONNECT, employers have the ability to work with our Employer Engagement Team and outline requirements to apply for your organization’s Employer Trek. For Boston, Silicon Valley, and D.C., students will travel to every Employer Trek as a cohort and will represent a variety of majors and class years. - CONNECT does not come to my city. Can I still host an Employer Trek?
At this time, we can only host in-person Employer Treks in Manhattan, Boston, D.C., and the west coast (Los Angeles for 2024). However, we can always work with your organization to find alternative methods for you to connect with our students. Contact us at hirebing@binghamton.edu and our Employer Engagement Team would appreciate the opportunity to work with you.
