Student Marshals and Flag Bearers

assist in lining up fellow graduates for the processional
lead candidates in the processional and recessional
carry the school banner or department flag

In doing so, Student Marshals and Flag Bearers help ensure that Commencement is a dignified and memorable experience for graduates, their families and friends, and invited guests of the University.

Student Marshals and Flag Bearers are selected by their school's dean's office.

Regalia

Undergraduate Student Marshals receive gold stoles at no charge from the Commencement Committee when they pick up their caps and gowns at the University Bookstore.

Rehearsal

There will be a mandatory training for all marshals. Details will be e-mailed after marshals are selected.
