Background

Patrick H. Chen is an assistant professor in the School of Computing at Binghamton University, leading the FUEL Lab since January 2024. His research aspiration is to add FUEL to machine learning by working on the fundamental, uncertainty and efficiency aspects of machine learning.

Chen earned his PhD from UCLA and bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and history from National Taiwan University. Before joining Binghamton University, Chen worked as a research scientist at ASAPP, a natural language processing startup.
