Background
Devona Paul (she/her) is a Rockland County, N.Y. native and is a Binghamton University double alumna. She works in Health and Counseling as a case manager and treatment coordinator, helping students get connected to mental health treatment and other resources, and providing some direct counseling services. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Relations from SUNY Plattsburgh circa 2016 and a double masters in Social Work and Public Administration from Binghamton University in 2020. As a student she worked within Campus Recreation as a Graduate Assistant for the Intramural Sports Program as well as Baxter the Bearcat. She served as an intern with Broome-Tioga BOCES through the Community Schools program as well as Binghamton’s Residential Life/CARE Team. Devona returned to the area and campus in Spring 2024 after three years as a social worker serving Boston, MA.
Her clinical and professional interests include neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ populations, student athletes, Greek Life members, body image and disordered eating, services and advocacy with individuals with disabilities, and suicide prevention. Devona is a retired college basketball player, though she still enjoys being active in her free time outside of work. She charges her battery by spending time with friends and family, watching YouTube videos, cooking, and doing nail art.
