Background
Jenny Seidel was raised in Vestal, New York and completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Binghamton University. She also completed a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Niagara University and participated in various internships in the Buffalo area. After graduation, Jenny worked with people of all ages in private practice for over three years.
Jenny takes an integrative approach to therapy, which means that she brings together multiple theories and interventions to adapt best to what each person needs. While she is integrative, her predominant methods are a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Taking a strength-based approach to therapy, she firmly believes that all people, with the right clinical tools and actions, can improve their mental health and overall well-being. Her use of humor and mindfulness skills help to create a positive and genuine therapeutic environment. Jenny seeks to empower others to overcome challenges and create lasting peace. She enjoys crocheting, spending time with her family, singing, and playing the drums.
