Savannah Colliton, LMSW
Senior Counselor
Background
Savannah Colliton (she/her) is originally from the Capital Region of New York. She came to Binghamton University to complete both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work. During her schooling, she interned with Harpursville Central School District and the Children’s Home of Wyoming Conference. Prior to her current role at UCC, she was an inpatient psychiatric social worker working with adults struggling with severe and chronic mental health concerns.
Clinically, Savannah is passionate about building strong connections with her clients and adapting her therapeutic approach to meet their individual needs. She believes that creating a comfortable and safe environment is the foundation of powerful therapeutic work. Savannah feels aligned with the journey and challenges of first generation college students and children of immigrants. She works to understand and empower students with intersectional identities, coming from a multicultural lens. Personally, Savannah enjoys baking and spending time with her cats and family.
