Binghamton University’s recovery friendly environment has resources on and off campus. Students can access resources on campus through the following offices and groups:
University Counseling Center- Students can meet with a specialty counselor that can assist with building a lifestyle of recovery while living their college experience.
Alcohol and Other Drug Office- Students can seek support through screening, brief intervention, and referrals to treatment.
Case Management CARE Team- Students can receive help coping with complex situations including supporting them through challenges or crisis, advocating for their success and referring them to resources.
Greenbox AA Group- This open group meets (day of the week) 7:30 p.m. Fine Arts Bldg – RM 247.
Binghamton University also offers students living in the residential communities the option to choose chemical free living.
Off campus resources include a wide variety of community recovery support. Students can either access these resources on their own, or reach out to one of the offices listed above for additional assistance.

There is a SMART Recovery meeting at 6 p.m. at the Broome County Urban League, Carroll St. Binghamton. This is structured there is limited self-disclosure and skill based.
