Clinical Assistant Professor

Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences

Background

Betsy Perry is a clinical associate professor in the Division of Nursing at Binghamton University's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She joined in September 2024 and teaches in Decker's graduate nursing programs.

Perry has been a registered nurse for over a decade and has experience in pre- and post-surgical care, critical care and outpatient acute care. For the past several years, she has been a family nurse practitioner working in primary and walk-in care.

Her experience in academia stems from her passion for educating nursing students and advanced practice RNs. Perry was a teaching assistant during her graduate studies in Decker's MS in nursing program and also served as an adjunct faculty member for the Baccalaureate Accelerated Track program in 2017. For the past five years, she has been a clinical preceptor for Decker's Family Nurse Practitioner program.

Perry is working on her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Decker as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
