Matthew M. Lunn, PhD

Background

Matthew Lunn is a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Nursing at Binghamton University's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences. He is also director of strategic initiatives for the Denver Police Department.

Lunn is a former vice president of the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (ABMDI) and former board-certified medicolegal death investigator with experience in both a large statewide medical examiner office and an urban/suburban coroner office. He has a record of developing short- and long-term strategic goals, driving innovation and evaluation efforts, and maximizing organizational efficiency and effectiveness in various public safety roles. 

His teaching experience includes graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of medicolegal death investigation, correctional care, criminology and public safety policy.

In addition, Lunn serves on a number of community and nonprofit boards and coaches youth soccer.
