Background
Samantha Lewis joined Binghamton University’s Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences in September 2023 as a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Nursing.
She is a Decker College alumna, having earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2000 and her master’s degree in nursing in 2003. In addition, Lewis earned a post-master’s certificate in psychiatry at Stony Brook University.
Lewis is board-certified through ANCC as a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Her nursing experience includes working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, home care, outpatient mental health clinics (in New York and Connecticut) and a residential treatment center. She was a child abuse medical provider.
Lewis' current goal is to obtain a PhD in nursing.
