Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into Binghamton's online Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy, applicants must:
- Hold a master’s degree
- Applicants must have graduated from an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program
- Applicants must satisfy the general conditions and procedures for graduate admission to Binghamton University.
- There are two exceptions to the requirements listed at the link above:
- GRE scores are not required for this program.
- The online PP-OTD program requires an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher to enter and a 3.0 GPA to graduate.

Application Instructions
To apply to the program, be prepared to provide the following:
- Submission of the online application
- Submission of academic transcripts from each college or university you have attended
- A personal statement not to exceed 1,000 words or four double-spaced pages that addresses
your talents, experiences and ability to prioritize your obligations and deadline
- Provide an example of how you have previously resolved professional and personal conflicts so they don't interfere with meeting your academic/professional/clinical requirements
- Provide your proposed professional goals that align with the completion of a capstone project that qualifies for acceptance to a graduate program at Binghamton University
- Résumé or curriculum vitae
- Two letters of recommendation
- Virtual interview with members of the OTD Admissions Committee is required
NOTE: GRE scores are not required for Binghamton University’s PP-OTD program.
