Alyson Pasquale, OTD, MS, OTR/L
Clinical Associate Professor, Occupational Therapy
Background
Alyson Pasquale joined Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences in September 2022 as a clinical associate professor in the Division of Occupational Therapy. Throughout her career, she has worked with clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings.
A native of Endicott, N.Y., Pasquale attended Ithaca College for her undergraduate and graduate degrees in occupational therapy before relocating to the Washington, D.C., area to begin her career. She practiced there for four years, focusing on pediatric OT, before returning to upstate New York to provide early intervention, preschool and school-based OT for an additional four years. Pasquale then joined Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton as an acute care and outpatient occupational therapist.
In 2014, Pasquale began teaching at Ithaca College as an adjunct faculty member, while she continued to practice in the area. She became a full-time faculty member at Ithaca College in 2017. While there, she decided to pursue a Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (PP-OTD) degree at Gannon University. She completed that degree in 2021.
Pasquale continues to practice per-diem and pro-bono for skilled nursing facilities and end-of-life care.
