Background
Geena Mocniak joined Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences in October 2024 as assistant director of clinical education and assistant clinical professor in the Division of Physical Therapy.
She has a clinical background in orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine. Her previous experience includes teaching in the University of Rochester Medical Center's Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy residency programs and as education coordinator for URMC's Sports and Spine Rehabilitation Department.
Mocniak is board-certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist by the ABPTS.
She is currently a health sciences PhD candidate at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, with a concentration in health professions education. Her expected completion date is September 2025.
