Background
Zixiao Ma received his BS degree in automation and MS degree in control theory and control engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. He earned his PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in 2023.
Following that, he was a Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow at the Clean Energy Institute and in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle, Wash.
His research focuses on control theory and machine learning, with applications in inverter-based resources, microgrids and load modeling.
