When we hear from alumni, many say they don’t think they’d be accepted into Binghamton University today because the increasing quality of its applicants and growing strength of its academic programs make the University a much more selective campus than it was when they attended. 

Binghamton was good then, but your support has helped it grow bigger and better in a purposeful and strategic way. Still, we remain committed to keeping a Binghamton education accessible and affordable to promising, hardworking students. We also continue to invest in inspirational faculty who educate and mentor their students. We want faculty who produce exciting creative work and discover new knowledge with their research — and who make it a priority to offer collaborative opportunities to their students.

That’s the Binghamton Impact: hands-on and lifechanging learning experiences that elevate Binghamton and set it apart from other universities.

But none of it happens without you. Your generosity and involvement make scholarships possible, research grants available and teaching stipends for graduate students competitive, to name just some examples of how you make a difference.
