University’s Opera Ensemble to perform Sunday

The Binghamton University Opera Ensemble will present scenes from Puccini’s “Suor Angelica” and Offenbach’s “The Tales of Hoffmann” (in English) at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Phelps Mansion Museum, 191 Court St., Binghamton. The production will be performed by graduate and undergraduate students who are members of the Opera Ensemble class taught by Willie Anthony Waters, assistant professor of music at Binghamton University, and staged by guest stage director David Toulson, with pianist and assistant music director John Isenberg. Tickets are $10, general public; and free for Binghamton University students with ID and can be purchased at the door or by calling 607-722-4873.
