Binghamton University faculty, staff, and students engaged in academic or university business outside the United States can enroll in United HealthCare Student Resources International Health Insurance.
This international health insurance plan provides:
- "In-network" medical coverage worldwide for both emergency and non-emergency medical needs
- Direct reimbursement to participating international medical professionals (eliminating your need for out of pocket payment) at 100% of reasonable charges with no co-pays or deductibles
- Assistance locating and securing approved medical facilities and medical providers in your destination city or country
- Repatriation
- Evacuation assistance due to medical, political, or natural disaster events
- Coverage is available short or long term
