Digital Scholarship Center
The Digital Scholarship Center is a newly renovated space on the third floor of Bartle Library. In addition to the Digital Scholarship team’s workshops, it can be reserved for class meetings, events, and meetings at the discretion of the Digital Scholarship Department. Requests can be submitted here to request use of the space.

Access specialized and open software and make use of our larger screens and optimized computers to load, analyze and visualize your data.

Recording Studios
Bartle Library has two recording studios. One on the first floor and a second added to the Digital Scholarship Center on the third floor. Both spaces may be used to record and edit audio, but have slightly different equipment.
First Floor Recording Studio
- Two Blue Snowball iCE microphones with USB
- Camera and microphone for basic video recording

Third Floor Recording Studio
- Two Shure microphones with USB or XLR
- Scarlett 2i2 Interfacer for better audio control

Digital Scholarship Center Usage Policy
The third floor includes a Digital Scholarship Center, recording studio, and Data studio which are open during regular Bartle Library open hours. The DSC's instruction space can be reserved but should be in direct collaboration with the Digital Scholarship team, have particular relevance to the Digital Scholarship Department or have a direct need for the recording studio or Data Studio. Requests will be reviewed by the Head of Digital Scholarship Services.
Using the space means agreeing to the following policies:
- Returning furniture and equipment to its original place and state before leaving the room
- Starting and ending events on time, or showing up on time for your reservations or meetings in the space
- Not unplugging or rearranging any of the cords in the space including the data studio
and classroom space
- equipment in the recording studio may be unplugged, but should always be returned to its original state as shown in pictures in the space
- Using the appropriate forms to reserve the space

- Reserving the DSC Classroom (2 weeks in advance)
- The Center is open to everyone and is a shared working space. Students or campus members may be in a portion of the Center while another event is happening as long as they are not disrupting the event, class, or workshop that is happening
