Huiyuan Guo
Assistant Professor, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Biochemistry
Background
Dr. Guo received her Ph.D. from University of Massachusetts Amherst (2018) with a specialization in Environmental & Analytical Chemistry and her B.S. from Beijing Normal University (2013) in Environmental Science. She worked as a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech from 2018 to 2020 before joining SUNY-Binghamton in the fall of 2020.
She is passionate about using advanced analytical tools and innovative materials to understand and protect our living and natural environments, with an ultimate goal to improve environmental quality and public health. Specifically, her research interests center around analytical chemistry, and environmental chemistry & biochemistry, with a focus on innovative environmental and biological sensors.
