Binghamton University to celebrate school pride at Homecoming 2018

BINGHAMTON, NY—Binghamton University will welcome more than 1,000 alumni back to campus during Homecoming weekend, Friday through Sunday, Oct. 5-7. This event, sponsored by the Binghamton University Alumni Association and numerous campus partners, will be a celebration of spirit and pride for the entire University community. Events are free and open to the public.
Signature Homecoming 2018 events include:
• Tailgate ’18 (3-6 p.m. Saturday – Events Center parking lot): This tailgate party, leading into the men’s soccer game against Stony Brook, will be the largest gathering during Homecoming 2018.
• TIER Talks® presented by M&T Bank (1:30-3 p.m. Saturday – Watters Theater): Alumni experts will discuss the current and looming threats posed by climate change.
• Fireworks will light up the skies over campus at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
• Bing Brews and Bands (10 p.m.-1 a.m., Saturday into Sunday – Downtown Binghamton): At this Homecoming after-party, three venues will feature microbrews and performances by local bands.
• The Educational Opportunity Program and Black Student Union will have 50th anniversary celebrations, Harpur’s Ferry will commemorate its 45th anniversary and the men’s tennis team will have a reunion.
