Binghamton University Libraries to hold annual book sale

BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University Libraries will hold its annual book sale from Wednesday, Oct. 23 through Saturday, Oct. 26, in the East Reading Room of the Bartle Library (first floor), on campus. This event is free and open to the public.

Books will be available for perusal and purchase from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23; 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25; and noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.

This year’s selection includes 10,000+ books, including popular fiction, non-fiction, scholarly works, history, classics and more. There are also hundreds of collectible vinyl LPs, CDs, DVDs and sheet music available. Prices range from $1 to $3, with a $5 bag sale on Saturday.

Books are donated by members of the campus and local communities. Library volunteers sort and organize thousands of books and other donations each year.

Proceeds from the annual sale help support library programs, activities, and exhibits for the campus and greater community to learn from and enjoy. These funds also support student employees in the library, a partnership that enhances services for visitors while providing valuable work experience for students.
