Alumni receive increased opportunities for lifelong learning

The Alumni Association has partnered with Lyceum to offer Binghamton University graduates a new alumni benefit: membership in Lyceum at a reduced cost.

Lyceum is an institute for lifelong learning with more than 500 members in the Greater Binghamton region. It is affiliated with Binghamton University and the nonprofit organization Road Scholar.

Volunteer course leaders are retired specialists, University faculty, retired teachers, members who have pursued interests in some depth, or knowledgeable community members.

Prior to the pandemic, classes took place at an off-campus location in Vestal. Fall semester courses are offered via Zoom which, in addition to the membership discount, has enabled Lyceum to reach more alumni.
