Binghamton University to host third annual Holiday Sweater Contest

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — It’s that holly-jolly time of year. Time to sing festive songs, bake cookies, decorate trees—and wear really ugly sweaters! Binghamton University is hosting its third annual Holiday Sweater Contest.

Member of the campus community — students, faculty, staff and alumni —are invited to don the most atrocious holiday sweaters they can in hopes of being crowned the tackiest Binghamton dresser. Reindeer, snowmen, garish patterns and unsightly color combos – all are welcome.Participants are asked to submit photos of themselves (or their pets) in sweaters to social@binghamton.edu and/or tag @binghamtonu on social media. Special points will be awarded to homemade sweaters, sweaters with school spirit and pets in sweaters.

Each sweater will be assessed by a team of verified sweater experts. Winners will receive a portion of $100 in Amazon gift cards.
