On June 18, Elizabeth Bloomer Nesvold ’90 and H. Peter Nesvold made a $1 million commitment to support the Innovation Lab program.

In recognition of their generosity, the common space at the core of the lab will be named the Nesvold Nexus. A grand opening and dedication event is being planned for spring 2022.

Construction of the lab is underway in the former Newcomb Reading Room on the first floor of Glenn G. Bartle Library. The lab is expected to be open by this fall.

Also, this past spring, Gary Kunis ’73, LHD ’02, established the Gary Kunis ’73, LHD ’02 & Connie Wong Scholarship for Women in Technology. Recipients will be incoming first-year undergraduate students majoring in engineering or computer science, with preference given to female students.
