From the interim director, winter 2022
We know you are aware that Founding Dean Gloria Meredith had planned to retire at the end of this academic year and that a search is well underway to find her successor. However, you may not know that Dean Meredith’s plans changed and she stepped down from her dean’s position on Jan. 31. She will remain a valued member of our faculty until her retirement this year, following Commencement.
We are grateful for her time with us and thank her for her selfless dedication. Dean Meredith accomplished everything asked of her and more as she led the development of our top-quality School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from its inception to what it is now — a fully accredited school that is educating and training the next generation of pharmacists in an ultramodern facility.
We are also grateful to you, our preceptors, for your continuing support and hope that you will continue to play a vital role in educating our students as we move forward with the dean’s search and see our second cohort of students graduate in May.
By then, we will have the new dean in place and will allow him or her to shepherd our path forward. Until then, know that we will work with each of you to ensure that the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences focuses on its mission: To develop outstanding leaders in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences using contemporary medication management and innovative research in order to transform human health locally and globally.
Please reach out if you have questions.
Sincerely,
KarenBeth Bohan
