Sending off graduating students

Prior to Commencement, the Alumni Association, Office of the President and Campus Activities co-sponsored the President’s Champagne Sendoff. About 1,200 graduating students attended the May 12 event on the Peace Quad, at which President Stenger gave a champagne toast. The soon-to-be alumni also enjoyed games and food, and took pictures with friends on the berm. The President’s Champagne Sendoff is part of the Alumni Association’s efforts to welcome new graduates. Members of the Class of 2022 received an e-book with tips to successfully navigate the challenges they’ll encounter in the workplace and in living on their own. The new graduates also receive exclusive access to online career services.
