“Decision 2022: A Critical Look at the Midterm Election” topic of TIER Talks Homecoming event
As part of Homecoming weekend, Binghamton University will host “Decision 2022: A Critical Look at the Midterm Election,” a TIER Talks event, from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 8, in the Chenango Champlain Collegiate Center (C4) Multipurpose Room, on campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Binghamton University alumni and faculty with expertise and experience in public policy, public opinion, lobbying, voter engagement and advocacy will discuss the midterm election. Speakers include: Perry Ochacher ’84, founder and president, Willett Public Affairs; Nicole Yearwood ’97, MPA ’98, founder and CEO, Educated Voter; and Daniel Magleby, associate professor of political science, Binghamton University.
Since the Binghamton University Alumni Association introduced TIER Talks in 2014, the speaker series has leveraged distinguished Binghamton alumni and faculty to address hot topics such as virtual and augmented reality, political polarization and the neuroscience of addiction.
Ample free parking will be available in campus surface lots and the garage.
