2023 Chancellor’s and Provost’s awards, other major awards announced
Faculty and staff honored for outstanding work
Binghamton University has announced the recipients of this year’s Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence as well as a number of other major awards for excellence, some Provost’s Awards and the Binghamton University Council/Foundation Awards. Some additional awards will be announced later in the year.
Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are SUNY system-level honors that recognize individuals for consistently outstanding achievement in classified service, faculty service, librarianship, professional service, scholarship and creative activities, and teaching.
Binghamton University also recognizes exceptional work with a number of University and Provost’s Awards, as well as the Binghamton Council/Foundation Award.
“One of the highlights of my year is recognizing outstanding work by so many individuals across all divisions on campus,” said President Harvey Stenger. “Each of them has earned this honor for their dedication to students, their colleagues and the campus. It’s because of their ‘above-and-beyond’ work that we are among the best public universities in the nation and I truly appreciate their service.”
“I see excellence everywhere I look at Binghamton, and am thrilled to be able to join in honoring so many faculty and staff who contribute to this excellence,” said Donald Hall, executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. “They serve as an inspiration to me and others to continue our work to move this University forward.”
This year’s recipients will be honored at a dinner to be scheduled in late October.
