Dining Services offers dietitian consultations
While menus at our dining locations offer a variety of options for students who have food allergies, food intolerances and other special dietary needs, Binghamton University Dining Services (BUDS) recognizes that some students may need more one-on-one guidance while dining on campus. BUDS has two registered dietitians: Alexa Schmidt, RD, CDN, and Julie Lee, MS, RD, CDN. They are available to meet with students to discuss dining options, offer dining hall tours and can provide accommodations and other resources to students. All meetings are free of charge and assist students in navigating the dining halls successfully to enhance their dining experience. Requesting a meeting with one of the dietitians is easy; just send an email to Alexa.Schmidt@Sodexo.com or Julie.Lee@Sodexo.com.
Schmidt and Lee also support student groups and campus departments through presentations, tabling and events. They provide AllergenU training to BUDS employees and routinely assist our executive chefs with creating menus. Learn more on the BUDS website.
