School of the Arts to host inaugural Student Showcase: A three-day festival of the arts
Events from May 1 to 3 will shine a spotlight on student creations, research and performance
Binghamton University’s School of the Arts will hold its inaugural Student Showcase this spring on the University campus – a three-day festival of the arts.
Offerings will include performances, talks, readings, screenings and hands-on demonstrations. Locations will be in the Fine Arts Building, unless indicated otherwise.
Part of Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, the School of the Arts brings together programs in art and design, cinema, art history, music and theatre, and also works in collaboration with its partner program, creative writing.
“The showcase provides an opportunity to shine a spotlight on these interdisciplinary connections, as well as the inspired work and performance of Binghamton students,” said School of the Arts Director Christopher Robbins.“Our School of the Arts is built from award-winning programs within an acclaimed Research-1 University. The work that comes out of this combination is exciting and ground-breaking, and this is a chance to see it all coming together!”
