Binghamton University faculty and staff have been recognized by the SUNY chancellor and the University’s provost and executive vice president for academic affairs for excellence and dedication to their work. Some additional awards will be announced later this year.

The SUNY Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are system-level honors bestowed on individuals who have demonstrated superior professional achievement in several categories, including: classified service, faculty service, librarianship, professional service, scholarship, and creative activities and teaching.

The University acknowledges exceptional work through University and provost’s awards, as well as the Binghamton Council/Foundation Award.

“Binghamton University is fortunate to have so many hard-working, talented and accomplished faculty and staff,” President Harvey Stenger said. “These awards are a testament to their abilities as teachers, scholars, mentors and as people who help the University live up to its mission each and every day. My congratulations go out to this group of award recipients for this most deserving recognition. Their work is what makes Binghamton University one of the top public universities in the country.”

“I am always amazed by the terrific diversity in professional skills demonstrated by the list of chancellor’s, provost’s and University award winners,” Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Donald Hall said. “The University’s faculty and staff consistently go above and beyond in serving students and their fellow employees and these awards are a symbol of our gratitude — and the chancellor’s recognition — of their efforts.”

Recipients will be honored at a dinner during the fall semester.
