August Engagement Highlight: B-Engaged and B-Welcome

Fall move-in has nearly arrived! Soon, campus will be alive with the familiar buzz that classes and extracurricular activities bring each academic year — including club General Interest Meetings, organizational tabling, office programming and more.
At Binghamton, involvement outside the classroom starts in B-Engaged. This online hub helps students easily build their on-campus community and home away from home. With the click of a few buttons, B-Engaged connects students with over 500 clubs and organizations, and thousands of University programs, events and activities every semester!
This August, B-Engaged is home to everything B-Welcome — now through Sunday, Aug. 25! Students should download the free B-Engaged app, called “CampusGroups,” to explore the B-Welcome Event Hub, with all the welcome week activities and fun in one place! Program highlights include special events, such as University Fest (UFEST), Towerglow, Common Read Experience and Rainbow Fest. Plus, activities from Student Affairs and campus partners: Dean of Students, The Union, Late Nite, Res Life, B-Healthy, Libraries, Campus Activities and Campus Recreation…and many more!
Students should also mark their calendars for one of our biggest annual events — University Fest on Saturday, Aug. 24! This year’s campus-wide festival will ring in the start of the new year with club tabling, inflatables, prize giveaways, games, free swag, food and more! Students can get the most out of UFEST with the CampusGroups app, allowing them to seamlessly enter prize and giveaway raffles, quickly sign up for club email lists, easily find where organizations are tabling and more. The CampusGroups app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.
