The Binghamton University campus community can enjoy a new food truck this spring. Yes Chef, a smash burger concept, offers a rotating, flexible menu that includes a variety of burgers and sandwiches with creative flavor profiles. Yes Chef joins Global Taco and Starbucks as the third food truck on campus.

“Bringing food trucks to campus assists us in creating a diverse food scene that also offers a convenient dining option,” Campus Executive Chef Charlie Williams said.

Yes Chef is open daily for lunch and is located on the spine near the Library Tower. Its menu offers something for everyone, including an all-American smash burger, a classic smash burger, Beyond Burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches, all with topping options. Yes Chef also features weekly specials, such as a jalapeno popper burger and tater tots. All food items are made to order.

Binghamton University Dining Services (BUDS) decided to rebrand a previous food truck concept with help from campus feedback and the Student Culinary Council.

“The Yes Chef menu allows us the flexibility to offer a wide variety of popular dishes as well as the ability to support campus events,” Williams said.

BUDS said it is excited for the creativity this concept will lend to its chefs.

The full list of menu offerings and hours of operation can be found on the BUDS website.
