Melissa Morales
Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences
I am currently a faculty member in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. I am from New York City (the Bronx). I received my BA in Psychology from SUNY Cortland and then my MS and PhD from Binghamton (in Psychology and Neuroscience, respectively). I studied substance use disorders using preclinical animal models, and now I study neuromuscular diseases. Being a latina, woman in STEM, and from a low income family, I understand some of the struggles being faced by first gen students. I'm looking forward to this opportunity!
