I am a first generation college graduate and the only one of five siblings to attend college. I earned my Bachelor's, Master's and PhD in Nursing at Binghamton University and now I have the honor of teaching here! I began my educational journey as an adult. I was 27 when I took my first college class (at SUNY Broome) and I was a wife and mother of two (I worked as well). I had challenges for sure, but my perseverance and my ability to manage and prioritize my time made it possible. I hope to serve as an example that hard work and a strong desire can win out :)
