Campus Mail Services

             Campus Mail Notifications have changed!

Students should note the following changes to Campus Mail email notifications. Items in student physical mailboxes and in the mailroom will come from donotreply@notify.brynka.com. Items in the locker system located in the hallway near Campus Mail will come from "Luxer One" support@luxerone.com and will have a QR code for pick up. Items placed in lockers have email reminders frequently sent because they are not held in the locker for an extended period of time. If you  have more than one package in multiple lockers, you will have multiple codes. If you have emails with the same code, it is for the same item. The code is good until you are notified that the item is "pulled from the locker (and moved to the mailroom)". Only wait in line at Campus Mail for items in the mailroom. Please be sure to check spam folders before contacting Campus Mail.

Expecting a package?

Please note the search function is currently being updated and is not available at this time.

Please note: All packages must come from a carrier such as USPS, UPS, Fedex, or DHL. Campus Mail does not accept food deliveries from vendors such as instacart or doordash.
Also note: Delivery notifications received from a carrier does not always mean your package has been processed at Campus Mail. You will receive an email notification from CMS when it is available for pick up.

Any package that fits in the BU Box is placed directly in the mailbox and you may or may not get an email notification. You are encouraged to check your mailbox often but minimally once a week. If you receive carrier notification without mailroom notification within 24 hours (72 hours in the first month of the semester and after holidays) and the item is not in the mailbox, complete a missing package report. MISSING ITEM. This form is also found at the mailroom. You must check your mailbox prior to filing a report.

PARCEL LOCKERS

There is a self-service package locker system that is available when the University Union is open/accessible. Students will receive a notification when a package arrives instructing them where to retrieve the package. Notifications include "mailbox", "mailroom", or in "locker". Lockers have a temporary pin and QR code. Use the code at the monitor. (NOTE that phones set to DARK Mode do not scan; set your phone to normal/Light mode, type the pin, or open by bluetooth.) Use of lockers is completely random. If you choose to create a profile on the luxer one app with your bmail, select forgot password and you will receive a link to create a new password. In the app, you can choose to have your parcels delivered under four feet by activating the option in locker preferences. You can also notify mailsvce@binghamton.edu to request that we mark this for you. If you choose to use the app, you can open the locker through bluetooth capability without interacting with the monitor.

If your package is unclaimed within 24 hours, the package will be moved to the mailroom, you will receive a new pick up notification informing you to pick up during mailroom hours. (Friday locker deliveries will be available until Monday.)

** Lockers are limited; therefore, you must pick up your package within the hours stated or your package(s)/mail will be re-shelved for pick up during normal office hours. You will receive a notice that your package was pulled from the locker and is now in the mailroom. The code will work until your package is moved.

***Each PIN and QR code expires after use, or when the package is relocated. Locker doors cannot be opened/reopened with a previously used code.

Window Services

Postage sales are provided at no additional cost to the University community for faculty, staff, and students personal use. Because postage is sold for face value services are limited to the following:

  • First Class Mail
  • Flat rate Priority Mail (customers may bring packages with shipping labels)
  • International Mail - documents only (less than one pound)

Please note:

  • Cash only. We are unable to accept checks, credit or debit cards for stamps and supplies.
  • All outgoing mail must have a return address.
  • Mail supplies are available for customer use. Other supplies (tape, boxes, padded envelopes, bubble wrap, envelopes etc.) can be purchased.

SELF-SERVICE SHIPPING KIOSK

The mail pick up lobby has a self service shipping kiosk for use. Only credit cards are accepted. The user must bring the package in a box or mail envelope ready to ship. Once a package has the mailing label affixed it can be left with a mail clerk at the window or in the drop box on the wall to the left of the kiosk. Rate shopping is available. It is the users responsibility to use the correct packaging. Majority of items will ship USPS at the lowest rate. There is a fee for this service added to the postage cost. To avoid fees, utilize "Click-n-Ship" or Stamps.com preparing your package at your own location.

Mail Delivery

Mail is delivered to the offices and residence halls on campus by 11 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Business mail (outgoing and intra-campus) may be dropped in the drop box in the Library Tower. Daily pickup by 1 p.m. for afternoon processing.
  • Business mail is accepted any time at the CMS mailroom. Small amounts of mail will be posted on the day of drop off provided it is received at the CMS by 2:15 p.m. Larger mailings will need more time to process.
  • Pick-up times are posted on all drop slots in the residence hall mailrooms. These drops are closed by 8 a.m. on the last day of classes for each semester. Mail placed in these drops after that time will not be picked up until the start of the next semester.
  • USPS drop boxes located on the south side of the University Union, near the bus stop. Pick-up times are posted and maintained by the USPS. Do not use these boxes for intra-campus mail. There is an intra-campus drop box in the CMS lobby.

  • If you need another student to get a package for you, you must complete the Pick Up For a Friend (PUFF) google Form: PUFF Form and forward the Campus Mail email notification to the person who will be picking up the package for verification.
