Reserving The Lanes
Looking for a fun and affordable location for an event? Bowling at The Lanes in the
Union is the perfect venue! Our staff offers the very best customer service and will
help you create a customized event that fits your group. Thank you for considering
us for your event!
Prices
- $80/hour for Binghamton University affiliated groups, Plus $10 shoe rental.
- External groups not affiliated with the University may be allowed to use at the rate
of $200/hour.
Includes:
- Shoe rental for entire group.
- Reservation of all 8 Lanes (5 people/lane).
- Titled area for food and drink*
- Event rentals include the entire facility.
*Food and drinks: There is a tiled area in the lanes where tables can be placed for food and drink.
Refreshments must be confined to the tiled area. Arrangements for tables must be made five days in advance.
Event reservation hours
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
noon – 11:00 p.m.
Thursday and Friday
noon – 6 p.m.
Saturday 3 - 6 p.m.
Sunday 3 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Reservations are available for up to 2 hours during the hours below.
Only one group reservation event per day is allowed.
Event policies
Prior to booking, please review the following policies. These policies are intended to make your visit and a fun and enjoyable experience.
A completed Bowling Reservation Request Form should be submitted at least five business days in advance.

- Deposits
University recognized groups will be billed by their state IFR account # with deposit waived.
External groups not affiliated with the University will need to submit a $50.00 deposit at least
7 days in advance of the scheduled date. Balance of fees must be paid three (3) business
days in advance of the scheduled date of reservation or the event may be cancelled.
- Payments
Cash, Check or payment by a State IFR account accepted.
University offices must give a state IFR account # when requesting a reservation if
they will be paying with a state account. Payment will be processed with a transfer
of funds chargeback.
Checks are acceptable and should be remitted within 30 days of receiving the invoice.
Invoices will be sent to organization mailboxes.
Please make checks payable to: The Lanes at Binghamton University or IFR 901108-02.
- CancellationsCancellations must be made at least three (3) business days in advance of the scheduled
date, or a $40.00 fee will be charged. The full fee will be assessed if a group does
not show up for a scheduled reservation and has not cancelled prior to the event.
The Lane Rules
Please review and uphold the rules provided by our staff.
- Bowling Lane Rules
Wear bowling shoes at all times. Only bowling shoes are allowed on the lanes to ensure safety and protect the surface.
Respect the Approach Area. Keep the approach dry and clean; no food, drinks, or spilled substances are permitted.
One bowler at a time. Wait your turn and ensure only one person is at the lane at a time.
Stay in your lane. Avoid crossing into adjacent lanes or stepping onto the lane itself.
Select a bowling ball that suits your grip and weight preference.
Never throw balls recklessly or loft them onto the lane.
Crossing the foul line is prohibited; the area beyond is slippery and dangerous. If the need arises to get a ball or other
item from the lane, please notify The Lanes staff to take care of it.
Report issues promptly: Inform staff immediately if a lane malfunctions or equipment is damaged.
- Event clean up
As a courtesy to The Lanes staff, please clean up any waste. Return all bowling shoes
(untied please) to the bowling desk and bowling balls to the ball racks.
