Recruitment

We want our students to get real-world experience before they earn their degrees, which is why we encourage them to pursue internships over the summer and during the school year. Successful internships can lead to full-time jobs and provide students with the professional experience they need to learn outside of the classroom.

Admission Building

On-campus

We welcome employers to visit campus year-round. Contact SOM Career Services to learn more about the opportunities for organizations to increase campus visibility and determine the best way to position your brand.

We are open to coordinating flexible and creative ways to engage with our students. From the University-wide career fairs to corporate presentations to unique networking opportunities, our goal is to connect employers with top students.

New York City

Employer outreach

We are always looking for new opportunities to have our students engage with employers, which is why we take our students to visit companies based in the surrounding Southern Tier and New York City.

Our students pursue careers in accounting, advertising, business, consulting, finance, human resources, technology, marketing and management. If you are an employer interested in arranging a recruitment event in New York City or on campus, contact SOM Career Services.

New York City visits and city week

Many of our students want to live and work in New York City after graduation. These visits allow them to get an inside look at into the workplace culture of established companies and successful start-ups based in the city.

The tours also serve as a recruiting tool for host organizations. They educate students on the company talent needs, selection and hiring process, and organizational identity. New York City visits can be arranged as leadership panels, corporate tours and presentations, meet-and-greets, coffee chats and more.

The University's Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development hosts an annual NYC Connect week in January. Hundreds of students from across the University attend employer site visits and networking events in the Metro New York area.

Students will receive information about the schedule for New York City visits via e-mail. To sign up for visits, students should log into hireBING
