Student Support Services - Tutoring

NEW as of Fall 2018:

We are trying something new to help you get help when and where you need it. SSS is now on Discord, where you can chat with others in your classes, and catch one of our tutors once in a while. Still, walk-ins and appointments will make the bulk of our tutoring. Ask your Academic Counselor how to get on Discord today!

Free Tutoring

Student Support Services provides FREE tutoring support for all of its program participants in a number of different subjects!

If you are not a member of SSS, but think you might be eligible, stop by our office in UU 256 or check out the online application.

SSS provides tutoring on both a drop-in and appointment basis. Drop-in schedules are available at the SSS office, and appear below on this page during the semester. Anyone can see a drop-in tutor during the time shown, so just come to the Tutorial Center. If you require tutoring in a subject other than those listed on this page, please contact Joshua Perry or the SSS office at 607.777.2024.

Fall 2018 tutoring schedule

*General tutoring covers a wide range of classes based on tutor's experience. Please visit these tutors if you have a question about a specific class in either department. They may be able to help.
*We are now offering topical tutoring sessions for you to come talk about your classes in those subjects. While the tutor may not have taken the course you are coming for, you can still get feedback on papers and get some guidance on studying for these topics.
NOTE: There are other courses which our tutors may be able to help you with. If you do not see a course listed here please contact Josh and he will try to help you find a tutor.
