The following courses have been selected as sustainability courses based off the the United Nation's Brundtland Commission 1987 definition of sustainability. It defines sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
Environmental Component
Any course that includes basic biological, ecological, geographic, or geologic principles that may lead to a better understanding of environmental conservation, stewardship, and/or responsibility.
Equity Component
Any course that emphasizes the quality of being fair and impartial to all peoples and subjects within an environment.
Economic Component
Any course that teaches foundations in economics or sustainable economic development principles that may lead to a better understanding of sustainable economic advancement.
