Background
Nicholas D. Kanaar is a PhD candidate at Binghamton University studying Creative Writing. He received his BA in Creative Writing from the University of Arkansas, and his MA in English Literature from Grand Valley State University. He specializes in creative writing and composition studies, with special interest in British and American Gothic literature, narrative theory, ecocriticism, and contemporary landscapes in American literature. His writing has appeared in Wild Roof Journal, Coffin Bell, The 3288 Review, and in others. He lives in Ithaca with his wife and two kids and is an avid runner.
