School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is the University's newest school, having opened its doors to students in fall 2017, with the entry of the first class of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students, after being awarded approval of the degree program by the New York State Board of Regents. The school was awarded accreditation status on June 28, 2021, following the graduation of its inaugural class. Beginning in fall 2022, the school will also offer MS and PhD degrees in pharmaceutical sciences, concentrating on cutting-edge, translational research. In August 2018, the school opened the doors to its brand-new, $60-million, ultramodern building in nearby Johnson City, N.Y., that includes research and simulation labs and classrooms. Just two miles from the main Binghamton campus and a block from one of the region's largest hospitals, the new building is home to 50 faculty. Students learn contemporary pharmacy skills in an innovative curriculum delivered by faculty active in translational and clinical research. Graduates will be well prepared for many different careers, including clinical specialties, regulatory agencies, industry and research. School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
