Getting Started

Working with ADL-managed facilities is easy!

  1. First, contact the ADL team at ADL@binghamton.edu.
  2. Define your project goals and your service and instrumentation needs. If you're not sure what is needed or what is best for your situation, we can help. At least two collaborative options are available:
    1. In-person: You do the work yourself after expert training from us.
    2. Remote: We do the work with complete data analysis and reporting.
  1. Set up a user agreement with us:
    • We will help in every step of the process from setting up the user registration to negotiating a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) or materials testing agreement if needed.
    • Internal, external academic, and industry member and non-member rates are available.
  2. Attend general ADL orientation, lab safety, and instrument training sessions if you’re going to be personally working in one of our labs.
  3. Begin work.
