When it comes to safety, actions speak louder than words. Binghamton University has many ways to help you stay safe on campus.
In fact, we've developed comprehensive programs and initiatives to keep you safe in our residence halls, during emergency situations and around campus. Here are just a few of our safety precautions:
University Police − Binghamton has a fully empowered state law enforcement agency stationed right on campus.
Color it blue − In case of an emergency, look for the blue lights throughout campus. Just press one of these highly visible buttons and you're immediately connected with the University Police.
Safety escorts – A volunteer escort service is available throughout the early morning hours from anywhere on campus.
Harpur's Ferry - This student-run, EMT volunteer ambulance service is ready to respond to all medical emergencies. The award-winning organization has been helping students both on and off campus since 1973.
