A Place on Campus You Can Call Home
We celebrated the grand opening of the Alumni Center in Old O'Connor Hall on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, during Homecoming weekend. We hope you'll make the Alumni Center your first stop on campus the next time you visit Binghamton University. This awesome facility preserves the history of the original Dickinson Community, bringing memories to life from your time as a student, and provides a space for you and your fellow alumni to make new memories.
After entering the Alumni Center, you'll see a display showing a timeline of significant events in our University's history. We hope that seeing photos and memorabilia will bring back fond memories from the years you spent here in Binghamton. If you have items you would like to donate for possible inclusion in the display, please contact us!
The Jay S. and Jeanne Benet Alumni Lounge that is a wonderful setting for alumni events, and programs for our current students. The historical timeline that starts in the reception area continues and concludes in the lounge.
On the ground floor of Old O'Connor Hall, you'll find tables and benches from the Campus Pub, a fixture on campus from the early 1970s until its closure in 1998. This has become a popular study and hang-out space for our current students. Feel free to sit on the benches, take pictures and post to social media to show your Binghamton pride.
