Healthy Campus Peer Agents Internship

Healthy Campus Peer Agents work to enhance the health of Binghamton University students through a variety evidence-based health promotion initiatives. Peer Agents promote greater well-being by working with peers to increase awareness of wellness resources on campus, provide support, and encourage responsible decision-making.

Peer Agents are role models and liaisons that connect their peers to health and wellness resources on and off campus. Peer Agents focus on the following wellness topics:

  • Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drugs
  • General Health Education
  • Mental Health

Duration of the internship: 1 academic year (Fall and Spring semester). Internship opportunities for the upcoming academic year are posted in March and candicates are selected by May. 

Credits Earned: 4 Credits ( 2 in the Fall and 2 in the Spring). Students must attend a 2-hour weekly seminar class in conjunction with completing 60 hours of outreach each semester.
