The Center for Korean Studies (CKS) coordinates and develops resources for the study of Korea at Binghamton University. The Center seeks to promote interdisciplinary and intercultural approaches to Korean studies by drawing on its affiliated faculty members in disciplines as diverse as art history, Korean American diasporas, economics, history, language, linguistics, literature, political science and sociology.
Binghamton University's Center for Korean Studies draws on this interdisciplinary model to conduct scholarly conferences; sponsor research projects; present colloquia, seminars and lectures; supports the publication of significant research on Korea; and enrich the University's global perspectives and academic foundation.
