Background
Eunjin Park’s research interests encompass language socialization, multilingualism and multiculturalism. Her dissertation, an ethnographic study within the Korean American community, has earned publication in both national and international journals, as well as an edited book.
With a PhD from New York University, she has taught courses in Asian Pacific American Studies, Pedagogy and Practicum of TESOL and LOTE, Second Language Acquisition, and Sociolinguistics at various institutions, including Arizona State University, the University of Texas at Arlington and Ithaca College, before joining Binghamton University in 2022.
Park’s teaching interests span Korean as a foreign language and Korean as a heritage Language. She is committed to fostering linguistic and cultural understanding among her students. Her interdisciplinary background, including an MA in American Literature, reinforces her goal of not only imparting linguistic knowledge but also inspiring students to embrace new perspectives and ways of thinking.
