Kyung-Ah Kim

Background

Kyung-Ah Kim received her BA in Linguistics from Cornell University and her MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of San Francisco. She has also studied Korean Linguistics at Seoul National University and Linguistics at UC Berkeley—where she discovered her passion for teaching Korean as a second/foreign language and advising college students while teaching Elementary Korean as a Graduate Student Instructor. Subsequently, she taught Korean as a lecturer at UC Berkeley and Middlebury College before joining Binghamton University. She also comes in with some IT startup experience in designing web and mobile applications for learning and training. With this background, she is interested in language teaching with digital technologies, especially, while actively incorporating Korean pop culture into her teaching curriculum.
