University Tutorial Services (UTS) provides free tutoring for Binghamton University students.
Tutoring Mission:
- To provide an encouraging learning environment for students of all skills, backgrounds, and their aspirations.
- To create a community where everyone feels valued, safe and supported. A diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible campus for all.
- To proactively incite students’ development of critical thinking, problem solving, and study skills beyond tutoring sessions.
University Tutorial Services has received International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC) through the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA). The purpose of the ITTPC program is to provide recognition and positive reinforcement for tutoring program’s successful work and set an internationally-accepted standard of skills and training for tutors.
